Our guest artist for the month of September is Lillian Abel. Her remarkable and expertly executed oil landscape works blur the lines between the representational and the abstract. Painting from memory, Abel gives form to what was seen but is now unseen, through the exploration and recollection of perception after the passing of time. Abel's paintings invite the viewer to question their underlying notions as to how conceptions form, through metamorphosis and evolution, evaluation and reevaluation.
This event is free and open to the public. Small original works will be made available. The artist will be in attendance.
